Bad theology

That might be a stretch. While on Spring Break I noticed several “advertisements” for various churches that I passed along the way. Some were signs in front of churches, and others were signs along the road way. Most seemed to have a home made quality about them. But the quality that linked each of them was the bad theology, or poor Christology that they professed. I am sure that they were attempting to use popular culture to extend Christ into the world, however, I personally believe that we don’t have to minimize Christ to bring Christ to the world. When we change Christ for our convenience or the simplicity of others, then we are risking our understanding of Christ. You can’t consistently say one thing and profess another without causing harm to yourself.
So for this coming week I will share the signs, I have an image of one, but the others I will have to draw with words. Together let’s explore our understanding…
