Well it’s official. I am going to Spain.
It has been an action waiting to take place for about 8 months, but the official tour packages arrived this week. So now it is official.
The group of us have been practicing; walking, hiking, and even running. Carrying backpacks everywhere. A few practicing Spanish, others hoping that a median can be reached using broken English and gestures. Guidebooks are being thumbed through. Maps are being double checked.
This is an adventure. A long walk. A Pilgrimage. It is a microcosm of life. Everything, each day needs to be prepared for. Those things that are prepared for will be so much better faced than rushing about to and fro. There is much I hope to learn and see on the pilgrimage this summer, but I think there is so much I have learned preparing for the pilgrimage.
Buen Camino! I’m going in September! Can’t wait!
